Speak, and it types. Voice typing for Windows: your words appear in any app as you talk — in real time, in your language, online or fully offline.
Windows Real time Your language
Great for vibe coding, prompts for AI chats, emails, chat messages, notes and journaling, documents and reports, code comments and commit messages, translations, and subtitles from videos.
Start with one shortcut.
Say what you want to write.
In the active window, as you speak.
Counters
Speaking is several times faster than typing. Over weeks of dictation you literally win back hours, days, even months of work.
Every word you dictate and the typing time it saved roll up on mechanical tape counters, live, as you speak. They even click, if you like.
Words appear as you speak.
Start free with the standard and offline engines — 2,000 words a day. Pro removes the limit and adds Soniox, a premium engine that detects your language as you speak. Soniox recordings can be as long as a meeting or a lecture.
Transcribed offline, on your PC. Drag files or links onto the FILES screen. Pro opens many at once: several files, a queue of links, timestamps.
See how many words you dictated and how much typing time you saved — and what is left: words for today on Free, Soniox minutes on Pro.
Choose offline engines and your audio never leaves your PC. Online engines send audio to the speech provider only to transcribe it; VoiceKeyboard keeps no recordings. Switch the live transcript screen off if you would rather not see your words on screen.
Privacy
The live transcript can go dark like an old picture tube. Handy when nobody should read over your shoulder. Your words still land in the window you are typing in.

The POWER lamp warms up when you start talking and glows while you dictate. It comes in five styles. Four are Pro, the Porthole is free.

Free & Pro
A green glass gauge sits on the recognition panel, right above Quality and Speed. It shows what you have left and goes down as you talk, so a limit never takes you by surprise. The minimized windows show it too.

One app for Free and Pro: Pro unlocks with your license code, no second download. Offline speech models are downloaded inside the app when you need them.
Yes. VoiceKeyboard types into the active window — a browser, a messenger, a document, a code editor. Put the cursor where you want the text, press the hotkey and speak.
One Windows limit: a window that runs as administrator may not accept typing from a regular app.
It depends on the engine you pick in the app: each one covers its own set of languages. Swipe or use the arrows to see them all.

Yes. Offline engines run on your PC: 2,000 words a day on the free plan, unlimited with Pro. File transcription is always offline. The standard and Soniox engines need the internet.
Pro checks your license online now and then; without the internet it keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for.
With an offline engine (and for file transcription) everything stays on your PC. With an online engine your audio is sent to that engine's provider to be transcribed; VoiceKeyboard does not store your recordings. You choose the engine.
Pro includes 1,500 Soniox credits a month. One credit is one minute of audio that Soniox processed — pauses count too, so a forgotten open microphone costs credits.
The month starts on the day you pay: buy on the 28th and your credits renew on the 28th, every month — on a yearly plan too. The credits you have left are shown in the app, on the recognition panel.
Credits do not roll over: the minutes you did not use expire when the month ends, and a fresh 1,500 arrive.
When they run out, dictation does not stop: it continues with the standard engine (or an offline model) until your credits renew.
Yes. A Soniox recording can be any length — it carries on without a break, using your credits. If the credits run out in the middle, the same recording continues with the standard engine.
Online engines (standard and Soniox) stop by themselves after at most a minute of silence, so an open microphone does not run on. Offline models can listen as long as you like.
Yes. The live transcript screen in the app can be switched off, so your words are not shown in the window. They still go to the window you are typing in.
Drag audio or video files, or links to videos, onto the FILES screen. Everything is transcribed offline, on your PC — drag and drop works on the free plan too.
Free: 1 file and 1 link a day, up to 60 minutes each. Pro: no limit, any length, and many at once — several files or a queue of links, with timestamps.
No. There is one app. Install it, and it works on the free plan; when you buy Pro you get a license code by e-mail, enter it in the app and Pro turns on. Your settings and counters stay as they are.
On up to 3 computers at the same time. To move Pro to a new computer, release an old one in the app.
Any time. Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew after it. The app then goes back to the free plan; your settings, counters and files are kept.
Windows 10 or 11 and a microphone. The internet is needed for the standard and Soniox engines and for buying Pro; offline models are downloaded inside the app when you choose them. The standard engine runs through Google Chrome, so it needs Chrome installed; offline models and Soniox do not.
Yes. Ask within 14 days of paying and you get your money back, no questions asked. Nothing is deducted for the Soniox minutes you used. Details are in the Refund policy.
